Cream cheese soup with herbs is a real house speciality with us. Especially in winter it is a warm, simple and quickly prepared dish – and it tastes great!
The secret of the delicious soup in our recipe essentially depends on the cheese mixture used. Supermarket mixes often taste too boring. Our grated cheese has proven itself particularly well. Surprise your guests with a special taste.
In our farmer family, cream cheese soup is often served as a main course. You can also use the cheese soup as a starter (perhaps better without bread).
Cheese soup recipe and preparation:
- Roast onions in melted butter, add flour and sweat lightly, add soup and cream, mix well with a whisk and simmer at low heat for 10 minutes.
- Add grated cheese mixture, season with nutmeg and herb salt or sprinkle with fresh chopped herbs and bread cubes.
- A light beer is perfect for a thirsty drink
