Minced Mountain Cheese Meatballs | Traditional Farmhouse Recipe from Bregenzerwald
Only with the addition of our mountain cheese the meatballs become a family hit. The spicy minced meatballs are a very tasty dish and there is really no one who does not like them.
The use of the mild alpine / mountain cheese has proved to be ideal. But you can also use other alpine cheeses if you want it even spicier.
Fried potatoes and salads are particularly suitable as a side dish. We wish you a good appetite!
Meat balls recipe and preparation:
- Finely chop the onion into cubes and fry in a little clarified butter until translucent.
- Soak the white bread in cold water, then squeeze.
- Knead bread with minced meat, mountain cheese, mustard, onion and egg – season with salt, pepper and paprika.
- Form small “flat” balls and fry them in a pan with clarified butter on both sides for about 4 minutes.
