Raclette
Raclette is, as many do not know, almost a universal culinary experience. Indoors, it is typically prepared using a Raclette Grill. However, it can also be enjoyed outdoors.
Outside, half Raclette cheese wheels are used. These are clamped into a grilling device that is typically powered by electricity or gas. You can see an example here.
It is also possible to prepare Raclette over an open fire (wood grill or fire pit). You just need a simple setup. An example of this can be found here. The distance between the fire and the stone can be adjusted flexibly—and it adds to the cozy atmosphere.
Cheese Fondue
Cheese fondue is a dish made from melted cheese that originates from the western Alps—specifically the French-speaking regions of Switzerland, Savoy, Piedmont, and the Aosta Valley.
Unfortunately, there are now many cheap pre-packaged versions on the market with low cheese content that we cannot recommend. These often contain binders and water.
Cheese fondue is typically prepared indoors using a cheese fondue pot or cheese fondue set.
Cheese fondue is always a great choice—even outdoors over a fire!
