Identity and Mission of the “Cheese Producer Direct Sales” Project | Who We Are and What Makes Us Different
“Nothing in the world is as powerful as an idea whose time has come.” – Victor Hugo
“We sell handcrafted Alpine cheese directly to end customers – with no middleman.” AlpenSepp has been a collaborative project between us and the “Rehmer Sennhus” dairy of the Berchtold family for over ten years. With us, you receive Alpine cheese, mountain cheese, and semi-hard cheese directly from the valley dairy in Rehmen in Au, Vorarlberg.
In our own cheese cellar in Schwarzenberg, the cheeses are stored, tended by hand daily, and freshly cut for you every week.
What this means for you: Authentic Alpine cheese and mountain cheese. Handcrafted at the Rehmen dairy. No detours.
Alongside this, sausage and game specialties from our master butchers complete the perfect traditional snack platter (“Jausenplatte”).
We Are Not Resellers! We Are a Direct-Marketing Producer with Online Sales.
In our dairy in Vorarlberg, authentic Alpine cheese is created from fresh hay milk at an altitude of 672 m – with time, manual craftsmanship, and experience. Every wheel is made, tended, and matured by us personally.
- 👉 With us, you won’t get anonymous wholesale cheese, but honest craftsmanship – straight from the source.
- 🧀 Why our Alpine cheese is different
- During the winter months, we also ship our prized dairy butter – but only while it’s cold outside. Galileo TV even paid us a visit.
✔ Our Own Production
We produce our cheese regionally ourselves – from the milking by local farmers next to the Rehmen dairy, to the twice-daily milk delivery, the cheesemaking, and the manual maturation in the cheese cellar.
✔ 100% Hay Milk from the Alpine Region
Our cows eat what nature provides: fresh herbs and grasses.
✔ Traditional Maturation
Weeks to months in the ripening cellar – for genuine flavor.
✔ No Industrial Production, No Mass-Produced Goods
Every cheese is unique and a handcrafted masterpiece.
