In addition to the traditional silo-free raw milk hard cheeses and raw milk Emmental cheese, the region offers a wide range of silo-free semi-hard cheeses from mild to spicy and from lean to creamy.

Our alpine dairy, for example, offers a wide range of creations:

Soft cheeses such as Camembert, as well as fresh cheeses in various flavours and the coveted cheese mixes such as cheese fondue and cheese knöpfle cheese round off the brand range of the cheese region.

In the Bregenzerwald, about forty different cheeses are produced by farmers in the summer and about thirty in the winter. Some special rarities are only available in the region.
